Busier than ever

As we get closer to the full easing of COVID-19 restrictions, I have been busier than ever in the clinic. It has been great to see so many of you (new faces and familiar ones) and help with your audiology needs.

Prestige Awards

I am delighted to announce that Peter Byrom Audiology has received a Prestige Award for the second year running. These awards are given to small and medium businesses that are recognised as ‘best in class’ in their field.

All shortlisted companies put forward in the Prestige Awards are asked to support their nomination with evidence of their work, positive feedback from their clients, information on previous accreditation and recognition as well as highlighting the most outstanding parts of their businesses.

A unique year

This is the second year in a row that I have won this award but this year it means more somehow. When the pandemic struck, I had to make so many changes to the business to consider new safety measures while ensuring that the quality of service remained high.

Key areas for the Prestige Awards are:

  • Service Excellence
  • Quality of the product/service
  • Innovative practices
  • Value
  • Ethical or sustainable methods of working
  • Consistency in performance

One of the first things I did was to invest in the Medicair™ – a fantastic piece of kit which purifies the air in my clinic rooms. Air particles pass through its sophisticated filtration system, effectively eliminating bacteria, viruses, pathogens, and such. I continue to use these in Thornbury and Dronfield and patients have commented on the extra level of reassurance they have given.

Setting the bar

In terms of innovation, I continue to offer the Lyric hearing aid, known as the ‘contact lens for the ear’. This hearing aid requires specialised training to enable me to fit it and it has proved very popular with some patients.

The pandemic also provided me with the opportunity to put ‘remote fittings’ to the test; this meant making changes to a patient’s hearing aid while I sat in the clinic but in the comfort of their home – such a great tool to have!

Looking forward

I certainly hope that life returns to normal soon but I can guarantee that I will keep patient safety and quality at the forefront of my clinics.

Whatever you may need whether starting your hearing aid journey, wax removal, tinnitus support or balance work do get in touch. You can do this via phone, email or the website and I will always do my best to help.

Looking forward to seeing you soon.

Stay safe,

Peter
